iSIM
« Back to Glossary Index
Integrated Subscriber Identity Module is a form of a SIM card but it has been integrated in to the processor stack of a device. This removes all physical challenges from SIM and eSIM while decreasing the physical space needed to provide cellular network connectivity through a SIM card. The iSIM is intended to securely store the international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) number and its related key, which are used to identify and authenticate subscribers on mobile telephony devices (such as mobile phones and computers).
